NOVEMBER 30, 2025
NOTES ABOUT CTK: We received a letter from our adopted seminarian student Ambrose Shaltanis. It is posted on the hallway bulletin board for reading. He will be preaching here for us on 14th in the early service only. The three that were elected to the new Council-At-Large positions were Jill Kasper, Nancy Lang, and Ed Quintana.
UPCOMING EVENTS: Our Advent services begin this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. We will be having our Blue Christmas service on December 20th at 4:00 p.m. That service is designed for those who have experienced a loss in life making it difficult for them to celebrate Christmas. It is designed for members and non-members. Our annual Christmas Caroling is scheduled for December 21st from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Also, on the 21st will be the Christmas Cantata. We will have only service that Sunday and it will be at 9:00 a.m. with no communion. Our Christmas Eve services will be at 4:30 and 7:00 p.m. There is no communion for those services. Our Christmas Communion Day service will be at 10:30 a.m. It will be preceded by our Christmas Breakfast at 9:30 a.m.
ADVENT BY CANDELIGHT: Ladies the annual Advent by Candlelight is set for December 7th at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available for sale at the Welcome Center. This event is for members and non-members. Invite your friends to come.
POINSETTIAS: If you would be willing to help adorn our chancel with poinsettias this Christmas season, we would be so grateful. To do so, please sign your name and how many poinsettias you are willing to purchase on the sign-up sheet in the hallway.
ADVENT RESOURCES: As we begin the season of Advent, may we prepare for the hope, love, joy and peace of Christ to fill our heart. The Board of Christian Education has a variety of resources available to help you celebrate the season of Advent! Stop by the display in the hallway and take something for yourself or to share with someone you know. There is something for all ages!
SAVE THE DATE! Our annual Children and Youth Christmas program will be happening on Sunday December 14, 2025, during the 10:45am service. Following the service, we will have a potluck to celebrate all the hard work of the kids! Parents, watch for more information coming soon!
TODAY’S FLOWERS: Today’s altar flowers are given by Keith and Diane Pleasants to celebrate their 57th Wedding Anniversary.
ALTAR FLOWER SIGN-UPS: We are grateful for those who give from their treasures to adorn our altar with flowers every Sunday morning. We know that sometimes it happens where two people want the same Sunday. If there is a desire for a trade, please call our secretary Stephanie who will then see if a trade is possible.
BLESSED: Our church truly has been blessed regarding our debt. We bought the land in December of 2021 for $850,000. Due to generous gifts over and above regular offerings, at the end of December 2025 (four years later) our debt will be near $450,000. Thanks be to God on how He is moving the hearts of the members here of Christ the King to reduce our debt!
