BUILDING PLANS REVEALING: After months of hard work and careful planning, our Building Committee is ready to share two building plans that are within reach of our potential means. This sharing will be done in a town hall meeting on April 19th after the second service. This is your opportunity to compare the designs, ask questions, and see projected cost estimates. We will then spend two months in prayer and discussion before voting on which option to proceed with on June 14th at the Voter's Assembly Meeting. Once we have the plan selected, our Fundraising Committee will begin the strategic work of raising the necessary capital. We look forward to seeing you there as we steward the future of our church together.
THANK YOU: We appreciate the hard work our youth and their supporting adults put forth to share the story of the life of Christ through a shadow drama last Wednesday. The story was very meaningful and left us wanting for more!
LADIES BIBLE STUDY: Our Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study will be starting a NEW study title “Promised Hope: Funding Peace in God’s Faithfulness” on April 14th. The book is $10 and will be yours to keep. This is a great opportunity to jump in and join this group! They meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 10am – 11:30am. If you are interested in joining and need to purchase the book, please contact Allison Daniels.
CLUB FOR A CAUSE: Waxahachie is getting a BJ’s Wholesale Club Store and offering what they call Club for a Cause. Christ the King has received a special link and code, offering a discount on a membership card AND a portion will go back to CTK and support King’s Kids MDO!! HOLY WEEK ACTIVITIES: Families with preschool and elementary age kiddos are encouraged to grab a “Holy Week at Home” kit from their Sunday School teacher or Miss Allison. The kit includes a devotion and craft that explains the importance of Holy Week and all the different events we celebrate that week.
EVANGELISM TRAINING: We are hosting a nine-week evangelism training program every other Sunday in our fellowship hall from April 12th [PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE] through August 23rd at 12:15 p.m. It is led by Laura Sanders, who is a member of our church and the lead evangelist trainer for our area. The program is designed to help participants grow in their confidence to share the Gospel with others. There is no cost. The first meeting on April 19th is an informational meeting only. Come to hear more and get any of your questions answered.
CARD MINISTRY: We want to continue our birthday and anniversary card ministry, as it remains a meaningful way to connect and care for one another. However, due to the rising cost of postage, we will begin placing cards in congregation members’ personal mailboxes at church. Please remember to check your mailbox regularly so you don’t miss any messages of encouragement or care.
