Weekly Announcements

NOTES ABOUT CTK:  On January 11th, we plan to have a formal dedication of the playground and outdoor Gazebo area. Please pick up your 2025 financial statements at the welcome center. Well, we almost made it! The goal of having reduced our mortgage balance to $450,000 by the end of the year was missed by only $1,621.58. What an achievement though that our church, by the grace of God was able to get our loan down to that amount in four years, considering the buying price then was $850,000 for the land. May God continue to bless the generous hearts of those at Christ the King.

2026 FAITH GLOW-UP: Christ the King will be hosting a social gathering event in our newly reconstructed gazebo area. It is designed for the 20–35-year-olds in our community. The Six O Two Tacos truck will be here selling meals for $12.00. It includes beverages and tacos. Background music will by provided by Ty Spalding and his wife from Concordia University Austin. They will play contemporary Christian music with a few secular songs intermittingly. The event is scheduled for March 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. What we need are some heat lamps and a trailer to lift the entertainers above the ground. If you can provide any of these items, please let Pastor or Kurt know. We appreciate anything you can do to help make this event a success.

THANK YOU: “Friends, thank you to the dear carolers who blessed me and Jenna Dawson with their time and talents by including me in their full schedule of visits of caroling. My heart is warmed by your gift of fellowship! The bag of delicious goodies & gifts is appreciated. May God bless each of you this wonderful season of our precious Lord Jesus’ birth”–Joanne Harrell

CHILDREN’S CHURCH LEADERS NEEDED: We are looking for volunteers to lead the children's church time in the 10:45 a.m. service. This involves teaching a short lesson to children in preK-3rd grade during the sermon. All materials and supplies are provided, along with assistance from Allison if needed. If you would be willing to serve in this ministry, please talk to Allison!

NEW MEMBER SUNDAY: We will be officially receiving new members on February 1, 2026. If you are not a member and would be interested in formally joining our church, please let pastor know. As custom, we will be having a welcome breakfast in honor of our new members in between services for that day. A Sign-Up-Genius to help with this event will soon be forthcoming.

JANUARY YOUTH EVENTS: All Jr. High and High School Youth are invited to stay after church on January 11th and 25th for lunch and a fun activity!!

FLU SEASON IS HERE: Out of love for one another and concern for our community, we kindly ask that anyone who is feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of sickness refrain from attending in-person worship. With the increased illness in our area, this small act of care helps protect our most vulnerable members. We invite you to join us through online worship during your time of illness. We look forward to welcoming you back when you are feeling well.

NEW BIBLE CLASS TOPIC: Last Sunday, we started a study on the Book of Revelation. Come and see what that book has to say about our present and future times as Christians.

TODAY’S ALTAR FLOWERS: Today’s flowers are given by Logan Hernandez celebrating his 29th Birthday.
