Weekly Announcements

October 19, 2025

SOCIAL MINISTRY AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES: The annual Fall Festival has been scheduled for November 2nd after the second service. On November 22nd, the Board will also be hosting the annual Thanksgiving Meal for Group Homes. To ensure everyone has enough to eat the Committee is asking for donations of pies, dressing, gravy, and green beans. If you wish to donate anything to the auction, treat table, or the Thanksgiving meal, please talk to anyone on the Board

TRUNK OR TREAT!! Our annual Trunk or Treat event is coming up October 25th from 4—6 p.m. We need lots of help to make this event a success! Volunteer opportunities include hosting a trunk or carnival game, helping serve dinner, or donating candy. Amazon or Oriental Trading make decorating your trunk easy and we also have some decorating kits available that you can use! See the Trunk or Treat display for all the ways you can be involved or contact Allison for more information.

VOTERS MEETING: Today’s Voters’ Meeting has been requested by the Building Committee. It will be held at 9:30 a.m. The purpose is to share estimated building costs and receive support from the voters.

CHURCH OFFICERS NEEDED: The 2025 Officer Ballot needs one person to fill the third slot for a Council-At-Large position. If you would like to be that person, or have questions about it, please see Jill Kasper, Billy Crawford, Chester Jurasko, or Pastor Raebel. If you wish to see the full slate of names for this year’s ballot, please call the church office.

SILENT AUCTION: This year proceeds from the silent auction and sales of homemade treats will go to support the Build A Bed ministry we did last year. If you wish to donate anything to the auction or treat table, please talk to anyone on the Board.

CAPITAL FUND RAISING: The council approved the formation of a capital fundraising committee to facilitate the raising of funds for our new building. If you would like to be part of this committee, or have questions about the duties of it, please see our president, Jon Bruinsma. So far, we have three tentative members.

TODAY’S FLOWERS: Today’s altar flowers are given by Dean & Jill Kasper, celebrating their 57th Wedding Anniversary.

2026 FLOWER CHART IS UP!! Let’s make each Sunday even more special with a beautiful flower arrangement tailor made in honor of significant events or in memory of a loved one. Do not hesitate, sign up for that special Sunday. Contact Mary Caldwell with any questions regarding Altar Flowers.
