NEW BIBLE CLASS: Pastor is leading a Bible study on the Parables of Jesus. Come and see how Jesus speaks to your life through His parables.

STEWARDSHIP CONTINUES: Today our stewardship emphasis is on being a good steward. Our stewardship series lays out a countercultural and biblical approach to managing our finances. It will make a compelling case that being wise and generous with money leads to a greater joy, less worry, and a world more the way God intends it. If you find yourself wrestling with credit-card debt you can’t pay off, or a car you can’t afford, or a house worth less than you owe on it; you’ll find help over the next few weeks.

LUTHERAN 101: Pastor starts a class on the doctrines of the Lutheran church tonight October 18th at 6:30 p.m. Classes run a little over an hour, and they go for about six to seven weeks. If you know of someone who might be interested in knowing more about the Lutheran church invite that person to come. There is no obligation to join. People can attend for informational reasons only.

DEBT REDUCTION UPDATE: Due to generous donations for this cause, we are only a little over seven years away from paying off this loan. By the grace of God, a twenty-year loan has been reduced to thirteen!

LWML INFORMATION MEETING: All women are invited to a gathering on Monday, November 2nd at 5:30 to learn more about LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) and the possibility of starting a group here at CTK. It will include a meal, information about LWML, and a servant event. Childcare and transportation will be provided if needed. All confirmed women post high school age are encouraged to attend. All women should have received an invitation by mail or in their mailbox if they have one. In the envelope is a stamped RSVP postcard for everyone to return by October 20th. OFFICERS NEEDED: It is that time of year where we are looking for people interested in serving Christ the King by being a church officer. This year we need people to run for President, Secretary, Council-At-Large, and for positions of the Board of Elders, Social Ministry and Outreach, Trustee, Education, and Stewardship. Our nominating committee members are Jill Kasper, Tom Batchelor, Jon Bruinsma, and Pastor Raebel. Don’t wait to be asked! If the Spirit moves you, submit your name to one of the nominating committee members!

TRUNK OR TREAT: Save the date for our annual Trunk or Treat event, taking place on October 24th from 4-6pm. We usually have a big turnout for this event, and we need lots of volunteers to make it run smoothly; so please consider volunteering by hosting a trunk, helping with crafts, carnival games, or in the kitchen! We would also be happy to accept candy or other individual packaged treats to pass out. If you need decorations or costumes for your trunk, we have quite a few available at church, just talk to Allison for ideas!

We are looking for Silent Auction items, such as homemade cakes or goodies, crafts or themed gift baskets. Please fill out a form that is located on the Welcome Table.
