SOME FINANCIAL GOOD NEWS: Due to very generous giving to Debt Reduction over the last four years, we have been able to take $247,313.21 off the original loan amount. What does this mean? It means less money is given to interest and that our twenty-year loan now has become a fourteen-year loan! Every dollar helps!

2026 FAITH GLOW-UP: Christ the King will be hosting a social gathering event in our newly reconstructed gazebo area. It is designed for the 20–35-year-olds in our community. The Six O Two Tacos truck will be here selling meals for $12.00. It includes beverages and tacos. Background music will by provided by Ty Spalding and his wife from Concordia University Austin. They will play contemporary Christian music with a few secular songs intermittingly. The event is scheduled for March 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. What we need are some heat lamps. If you can provide one, please let Pastor or Kurt know. We appreciate anything you can do to help make this event a success.

CHARITABLE GIVING: We are aware that Christ the King does multiple fund-raising activities. It is very difficult for our volunteer financial secretary to track all of them. Because of this, the council approved issuing office receipts for donations not placed on your financial statements. If you need one of these receipts for your taxes, please stop by the church office and one will be given to you.

BUILD A BED PROJECT: We are committed to making forty beds for young people in our community who have no beds. We will meet on March 7th at 8:00am to start assembling them in the gravel parking lot. Material and tools will be supplied. Breakfast in the morning, snacks, drinks and lunch will also be provided. The plan is to finish by noon. If you are interested, please let Letitia Rutan or anyone from the Board of Social Ministry know.

LENTEN STUDY SERIES: One month from today, Lent starts! As is custom, pastor will be doing a special small group study on a book from C.S. Lewis. This year it is, “The Four Loves.” If you would like to participate in this small group, please order the book from this link (it is helpful to all have the same book for pagination reasons). We will start on February 21st at 10:00 a.m. The study will last for six Saturdays. Below is the link for the book order "The Four Loves"

SUPER SUNDAY SUBS AND BAKE SALE! Our annual youth fundraiser is coming up Sunday February 8th! Support our youth group by ordering a sub sandwich or purchasing snacks for the big game! Funds raised go toward lowering the cost of summer trips for students. Order forms for sandwiches can be found on the bulletin board in the hallway or in the youth room.  Pay by check made out to CTK with youth subs in memo line or with cash. Thanks for supporting our awesome youth! 

CHILDREN’S CHURCH LEADERS NEEDED: We are looking for volunteers to lead the children's church time in the 10:45 a.m. service. This involves teaching a short lesson to children in preK-3rd grade during the sermon. All materials and supplies are provided, along with assistance from Allison if needed. If you would be willing to serve in this ministry, please talk to Allison!

NEW MEMBER SUNDAY: Due to last Sunday’s cancellation, we will be officially receiving new members Sunday, February 8, 2026. If you are not a member and would be interested in formally joining our church, please let pastor know. As custom, we will be having a welcome breakfast in honor of our new members in between services for that day.
