NOTES ABOUT CTK: Before each Lenten service, a Soup Supper is served at 6:00 p.m. Please check the sign-up sheet if you would be willing to donate a soup, bread or dessert for the suppers. The Jerusalem Cross given to us by the Anglican Church is up on the wall. A thank you card signed by all the members is posted on the fellowship hallway board for your viewing.
SPECIAL FUND RAISER: The church council has approved the raising of monetary funds to help our sister church of St. Paul’s in Dallas. Their sanctuary suffered extensive damage from a fire. Insurance will pay some of it, but there will be a deductible and other elements that need to be replaced not covered by insurance. If you would like to help, please write a check to Christ the King, place it in an envelope and mark, “St. Paul’s Fire.” Our brothers and sisters at St Paul are thankful for your prayers, and financial gifts as they seek to recover from this setback. We will be receiving special offerings for them through March 22nd.
2026 UNWAVERING: Christ the King is hosting a social gathering event in our newly reconstructed gazebo area now named the Benjamin Landrey Field of Faith. The event is designed for the 20–35-year-olds in our community. The Six O Two Tacos truck will be here selling meals that include beverages and tacos. Also, ice cream will also be here! Background music will be provided by live musicians. They will play contemporary Christian music with a few secular songs intermittingly. The event is scheduled for March 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices, before February 28, are $10.00. After that they will be $12.00. What we need are some heat lamps. If you can provide one, please let Pastor or Kurt know. We appreciate anything you can do to help make this event a success. Some Corn Hole games will also be appreciated. Babysitting will be provided.
BUILD A BED PROJECT: We are committed to making forty beds for young people in our community who have no beds. We will meet on March 7th at 8:00am to start assembling them in the gravel parking lot. Material and tools will be supplied. Breakfast in the morning, snacks, drinks and lunch will also be provided. The plan is to finish by noon. If you are interested, please let Letitia Rutan or anyone from the Board of Social Ministry know. An email was sent out that had waiver and liability forms which need to be filled out for participation. If you didn’t get that email, please call the church office, there is also information on the bulletin board. CHILD CARE WILL BE PROVIDED
EVANGELISM TRAINING: We are hosting a nine-week evangelism training program every other Sunday in our fellowship hall from April 19th through August 23rd at 12:15 p.m. It is led by Laura Sanders, who is a member of our church and the lead evangelist trainer for our area. The program is designed to help participants grow in their confidence to share the Gospel with others. There is no cost. The first meeting on April 19th is an informational meeting only. Come to hear more and get any of your questions answered.
TODAY’S ALTAR FLOWERS: Today’s flowers are given by Dean and Jill Kasper for All of God’s Blessings.
EASTER LILY SIGN-UP: Our goal is to have 40 plants, each plant is $10 and the deadline to order is Sunday, March 22nd. Please place payments in the offering plate w/your name and Easter Lily on the envelope then add your name to the Sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.
